That seems doable! (I have no idea if doable is even a word!) Oh well! January was a great month! I started my third semester in collage, I'm taking Psych courses which are always fun. I also started two things which I had never done in my entire life 1) The gym, which is actually fun! I look forward to my visits with the tredmill and have actually stayed on a healthy diet, I believe my total weightloss is about 20 pounds so I'm happy! 2) The tanning bed, I'm addicted! I went pretty much every day this month and I am now nearly brown! Please, I'd rather not hear your horror stories about the tanning bed... I will continue to go anyway!!! Also this month I played two new venues here in Kentucky and booked many new and old venues across the U.S. for the upcoming year!
I've been working diligently on new material and will begin recording probably in the middle of February. I've also become a Youtube addict and carry my video camera with me everywhere now! January brought about some drama in my family, my grandmother was hospitalized for quite sometime and is still not entirely up to power so please keep her in your prayers! I new headlining concert has been scheduled for March in Midway, KY, tickets are on sale now, so if you didn't get to catch my Christmas concert back in December I hope you can make it out to this one!
I bought my first brand-new car in January and I find excuses just to drive it! In addition to all the great things that have happened this month, the artwork for my upcoming album has been selected! I will post it on all networks as soon as all kinks have been worked out! January has been simply amazing! So many things have come about for me and I thank you so much for your support! I will keep you updated on all the events that take place, but here are a few highlights that were confirmed this month! I will be heading to L.A. in July for a few headline shows, many more trips to Nashville have been confirmed, quite a few radio interviews have been set-up, and a huge surprise coming in May that I will keep you all informed on!
Thank you so much for all of your support! Hope to see you soon at an upcoming show!

God Bless,
Clinton

Day One... Sort Of!

It's about 2:00 in the morning right now and I'm still sitting in front of this computer screen! I thought for sure I would only be on here for a few minutes, to check my email, networks, and harvest my crops on Farmville, that was at 9:30 last night! I don't really know why I'm still here, I just find things to do that truly makes time fly.
My day started out pretty badly. I woke up with a migrane, which is never fun! Around noon or so I visited my grandmother who is over 70 years old and wishes to learn how to use the internet! She's doing pretty good, and hopefully soon she will figure out how to read this blog! While there, my head started to ease but still that throbbing numbness was there.
I have no idea why I just pushed the enter button to start a new paragraph! I don't really have much else to say! Hmm... I took a mini-roadtrip this evening to Bardstown and surrounding areas. Didn't do much, was in search for something, not really sure what but I'm fairly sure I didn't find it! That's usually how it goes. If I hadn't been looking there would have been signs pointing straight to it!
I'm not tired in the least bit, simply running out of things to say! Perhaps tomorrow will bring about a more interesting subject!

-Clinton

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://clintonspauldingwritten.blogspot.com/2010/01/day-one-sort-of.html' title='Day One... Where was I? Between the inauguration of our first African-American president, the death of music icon, Micheal Jackson, and many more events that happened in the mainstream this year I had many exciting events myself! All of which, I look forward to building upon in 2010.
My twenty oh nine was much more than eventful, it was, in my eyes, epic! I began my rewarding career of working with Alzheimer's patients at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Louisville, Kentucky. My 2009 was magical, in more ways than one. I visited the American town that invented magic; Colon, Michigan and I momentarily broke away from my musical endeavours and obtained a small roll in the upcoming Disney film, Secretariat! Most recently, my 2009 was my first SOLD OUT headlining concert. My 2009 will last longer than simply 365 days. It will live on in memories, it will be looked back on in photos, videos, status updates, and blog posts! My 2009 is not ending today!
A year is only a unit of time, not a boundary or a closed door. I guess it can be looked at as a starting and finishing line, but that has us rushing and worrying about not meeting our goals, not obeying our resolutions. My 2010 will have resolutions, I will not fret when i realize that I have failed because just as in my 2009 my twenty ten will have failures! During my 2010 I hope to reach out and spread awarness about the depressing disease that is Alzheimer's. I hope to take more trips through my nation and see what is hiding off of the interstates. I hope and pray that I have another acting oppertunity, for it was a chance of a lifetime! And of course I hope music continues to open as many doors as it has for me! My 2009 had me as the opening act of many huge names in music and winning quite a few major awards. It was the release of my first studio quality gospel album, and the beginning of a personal musical project that will see it's day in the light sometime in 2010! I am in need of as much support from my friends in 2010 as I had in 2009, and if I meet half as many interesting and wonderful people as I met this year, next year, I will have an abundance of angels surrounding me!
My 2009 is now over, but the footprints that were made in that timespan will last throughout me lifetime, it will never end! You and yours are in my prayers, I am sure that this new year will be a wonderful new open door for some of you. It will be for me also! On that note...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

- Clinton Spaulding

P.S.
I will stay on the new year resolution diet is you will!
