It's a new year!!!
As much as I hate to realize it, but another year has passed me by. Where was I? Between the inauguration of our first African-American president, the death of music icon, Micheal Jackson, and many more events that happened in the mainstream this year I had many exciting events myself! All of which, I look forward to building upon in 2010.
My twenty oh nine was much more than eventful, it was, in my eyes, epic! I began my rewarding career of working with Alzheimer's patients at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Louisville, Kentucky. My 2009 was magical, in more ways than one. I visited the American town that invented magic; Colon, Michigan and I momentarily broke away from my musical endeavours and obtained a small roll in the upcoming Disney film, Secretariat! Most recently, my 2009 was my first SOLD OUT headlining concert. My 2009 will last longer than simply 365 days. It will live on in memories, it will be looked back on in photos, videos, status updates, and blog posts! My 2009 is not ending today!
A year is only a unit of time, not a boundary or a closed door. I guess it can be looked at as a starting and finishing line, but that has us rushing and worrying about not meeting our goals, not obeying our resolutions. My 2010 will have resolutions, I will not fret when i realize that I have failed because just as in my 2009 my twenty ten will have failures! During my 2010 I hope to reach out and spread awarness about the depressing disease that is Alzheimer's. I hope to take more trips through my nation and see what is hiding off of the interstates. I hope and pray that I have another acting oppertunity, for it was a chance of a lifetime! And of course I hope music continues to open as many doors as it has for me! My 2009 had me as the opening act of many huge names in music and winning quite a few major awards. It was the release of my first studio quality gospel album, and the beginning of a personal musical project that will see it's day in the light sometime in 2010! I am in need of as much support from my friends in 2010 as I had in 2009, and if I meet half as many interesting and wonderful people as I met this year, next year, I will have an abundance of angels surrounding me!
My 2009 is now over, but the footprints that were made in that timespan will last throughout me lifetime, it will never end! You and yours are in my prayers, I am sure that this new year will be a wonderful new open door for some of you. It will be for me also! On that note...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

P.S.
I will stay on the new year resolution diet is you will!
